TRR made this decision on 17 December 2014 after Digicel requested TRR to review the “4 months grace period” given to TVL to rectify its misleading advertisement relating to WAO service, in particular the use of word “free”. In its review, TRR, inter alia, remove the 4 months grace period and decide on a 4 working days for TVL to amend its WAO Service Billboards and or insert the key terms and the charges of the service, when using the word “free” in its advertisement.

Dear Licensees,

TRR has developed its 2015 and onwards Work Plan.  It clearly outlines our priority projects, and lesser priority (but important) projects, as well as TRR goals and objectives.

Recognizing that we have a suite of high priority issues to address, our key focus for 2015 is on implementation of the Government’s 2013 Universal Access Policy. The Work Plan also recognizes and links with the Government’s 2013 National ICT Policy.

TRR recognizes the need to keep all appropriate parties informed of its Work Plan activity, and we will regularly and actively monitor TRR priorities, projects and tasks. This Work Plan has a forward looking focus. It is updated annually to indicate current and future work that TRR is undertaking and has a focus on, or will be undertaking in the near future.

On 5th December 2014, TRR issued a consultation document on wholesale services, and is now seeking the industry views on those exceptions and whether they support the idea of adopting an exception regime for wholesale service providers. The due date for consultation is 19th December 2014. For more detail, please read the document.
