2011 Orders
Order 1 of 2010 relates, consecutively to Order 2 of 2011, in Order number (not year). Telecommunications Radiocommunications and Broadcasting Regulator (TRBR), thereafter, standardized all of its Orders for each calendar year. So in 2012 and for all years thereafter, all orders started in the order format of 1, 2 and so forth.
Can’l has approached TVL to come up with an interconnection agreement with this later for voice telecommunications services, a request which was not fulfilled.Can’l referred the matter to the Regulator for determination. s The services requested by Can’l include f call termination to TVL fixed numbers, call termination to TVL mobile numbers, call originating from TVL fixed and mobile numbers to Can’l numbers, outgoing international transit, incoming international transit and customer site interconnect link.
Section 31 of the Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Act of 2009 gives power to the Regulator to decide on disputed interconnection agreements. Therefore, the Regulator issued Order 3 of 2011 requiring TVL to provide interconnection links with Can’l.
Order 2 of 2011 was made by the Regulator requiring TVL to provide a 30 Channel E1 link to Can’l. Can’l and TVL could not reach an agreement on the access to the Chanel link as requested by Can’l, so the matter was referred to the Regulator pursuant to section 31 of the Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Act of 2009 for a decision.
