A Telecommunications Class Exception has been issued to Hotels, cafés, bars, clubs, restaurants and like businesses, that are supplying on-premises wifi internet to their customers. The decision to issue such Exception was mainly to differentiate these entities from licensed service providers that provides telecommunications services to the public.
These entities however provide telecommunication services to their customers only and this exception does not allow them to provide service beyond their premise and to the public.
