TRR notes a number of Holders who have yet to renew their Licences have breached or potentially breached the TRR Act, further wishes to remind those Radio Apparatus Licences Holders who have not completed renewing their required Licences or have yet to validate their Licence to act on this as soon as possible. Anyone found to be knowingly operating a radio station on board a marine vessel; an aircraft or on land; a VSAT infrastructure without owning a valid Radio Apparatus Licence issued by TRR, is in breach of the TRR Act and may be subjected to a penalty and or fine. So it is advisable that you come forward and renew your Licence as soon as possible.
TRR is considering taking further necessary steps to make sure all Radio Apparatus Licensees are operating legally in Vanuatu.

1) In JR Case 2941 of 2016 INTERCHANGE LTD has challenged by Judicial Review the Telecommunications Radiocommunications and Broadcasting Regulator (TRBR) decision to issue Order 3 of 2016 ("the Order") and the determination and findings relating a complaint filed by Speedcast Pacific Pty Ltd and to the Wholesale Internet Services Market ("the Determination").
The Order and Determination can be viewed on the TRBR website or uplifted
from the office of the TRBR.
2) Any party interested or wishing to apply to be joined and heard as a party to the challenge to the Order and Determination in respect of Interchange Limited may obtain copies of the pleadings and applications to Garry Blake at the offices of Ridgway Blake Lawyers in Port Vila or via email at: gblake@ridgwayblake.com.vu
3) Such parties, if wishing to join, are required to file and serve an Application prior to 8.30am on 3rd November 2017.
4) Any such party filing and serving such Application be advised the next Conference in the matter at the Chambers of His Lordship, Justice Saksak at 8.30am on 3rd November 2017.
Building on from the Notice released some weeks ago, regarding the Vanuatu domain name Management and Administration Regulation (the .Vu Regulation), TRR is now inviting tenders from organisations interested in operating the back end registry for the .vu country code top level domain.
Pursuant to The Vanuatu Domain Name Management and Administration Regulation Order No 206 of 2016, under the Vanuatu Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Regulation Act 2009, Telecom Vanuatu Limited has been appointed the Interim Registry Operator for the six month period which will conclude on 4 February 2019. The Vanuatu Telecommunications, Radiocommunications and Broadcasting Regulator (TRBR) invites tenders for the appointment of a Registry Operator from that date, or sooner if agreed by the parties.
