Picture: TRBR awareness at Fetukai School, Middlebush, Tanna on the 5th to 7th June 2017 by the Consumer Team and its Community Consumer Champions for the Tafea province.

As part of Telecommunications Radiocommunications and Broadcasting Regulator’s (TRBR) core functions stipulated in Part 8 of the Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Regulations Act of 2009, its Consumer Officers have done a lot of Community awareness on fair dealing practices, protection of personal information when using internet or other telecommunications services, promoting complaint handling processes to address end user disputes and complaint formally brought to TRBR’s attention.

This is very crucial to ensure there is no unjustified discrimination by operators, promoting the importance of reading and understanding terms and conditions of services before financially committing to purchase a service, promoting safe and secured use of internet, promoting the importance of child online protection and more other required information to be disseminated to the users throughout Vanuatu.
