The Telecommunications and Radiocomunications Regulator (TRR) has released a draft Quality of Service (QoS) Regulation prepared in line with Section 7(2) of the Telecommunications and Radiocommunications Regulation Act No. 30 of 2009, for consultation. This draft regulation is intended to guide Licensed Service Providers in their Quality of Service Reporting and sets out the parameters required in the reports.
Quality of Service Reporting are important in that they provide guarantees to consumers that Licensed Service Providers deliver predictable and high quality service all the time. TRR welcomes comments and feedbacks from all Licensed Service Providers, consumers and other interested stakeholders on the document. Response submitted to TRR before 4pm on 25 November 2011.

TRR has released TVL Draft RIO including the Annex G Price List for a second Public Consultation of 2 weeks. TVL Draft RIO was first released for Public Consultation on 24 May 2011 for a period of 6 weeks that was later extended by one month at the request of Digicel Vanuatu Ltd. The first TVL Draft RIO did not contain the Annex G Price List.
TRR has reviewed the TVL Draft RIO with the submissions received from the 24 May Public Consultation and is reissuing the document for another 2-weeks consultation, including the Annex G Price list.

In October Mr Regulator was at World Telecom hosted by the ITU in Geneva. He attended the Broadband Summit and then spoke at one of the Technical Sessions. This is the paper he delivered. As a speaker he was interviewed (see the link below). He also spoke in a number of fora as well as giving his talk concerning the challenges of rolling out Broadband in Small Island Development States He had various people come up to him saying it was a good promotion for Vanuatu.
